When I purchased the GPS, I purchased another receiver that was more costly and did not provide the reception or options available with MSN. I can get the traffic quickly and the exact areas where problems are…The purchase was priced good, and received when expected.

I have used this item for several weeks after I relocated temporarily to Dallas and I can not say enough good about this unit. I especially like the Movie feature and traffic updates which have helped me venture around this new territory. Great combo, but wish this service was included with my original Nuvi 760 purchase.

This receiver/antenna option is great. It gives me the weather, shows where the traffic slow downs are, movie times and where they are playing, etc. It does have a lag ans sometimes it just doesn’t work for my area. But over time it picks up and shows everything again. Showing the gas prices can save enough over a year to pay for itself.

1 Star Mount is poorly made to protect such an expensive computer
I agree with the other 1 star reviews. The mounting clip breaks after only about 3 months of use when taking the unit on and off your bike. Other people in my bike club have reported similar results and have had $500 Edge 705 units fly off their bike while riding!!! Come on, Garmin, get your act together and make something out of metal that is more durable. The 705 computer is absolutely great, but it is a travesty that it is attached with a 10 cent piece of plastic that can potentially cause the loss of the enitre computer while on the road!!!

This mount definately does the job it’s intended for. The nice thing about this is that it comes with what you need to mount to either the handlebar or the stem along with some pads to adjust the angle. It works very well. My only complaint which knocked it down one star is that the tab to release the Garmin unit can break easily if you’re not careful. That’s how I ended up ordering a replacement. Other than that, it works great.

4 Stars Garmin Dash Mount
I’ve used Garmin mounts before, with older automotive GPS units. In general, they work well and their adhesive mounting is about as good as is possible. With an older, heavier, Streetpilot 3, in a sports car where rocking vibration is fairly high, the mount fails after a year or so of service. I have not had a mount failure in any other car, even with the heavy Streetpilot 3.

I am reasonably confident that, even in the sports car, the mount will not fail with the much lighter Nuvi.

I received the window mount with my Nuvi, but wanted the dash mount instead. The dash mount was easy to install and works great!

5 Stars Great mount! Much better than the windshield mount.
My Nuvi 350 came with a windshield mount. After about a month on the windshield, I had to take it off to move it to another car. When I went to pull it off, pieces of rubber ripped off and was stuck onto the windshield! The suction power obviously was never the same again after that. The GPS+mount would fly off when I accelarted too fast and I was worried that it would fly out the window! It was really a terrible mount.

I had been delaying purchasing a new mount, mostly out of laziness, but I decided to give this dash mount a try. When I received the mount, I first tried using the temporary sticker which is suppose leave minimal residue on the dash if you ever wanted to remove it. I really care about how my car looks so I decided to try this route first. However, the adhesive strength on the temporary sticker was definitely not enough to secure the GPS into place.

So the next day I tried the permanent sticker and that thing is stuck to my dash as if I used superglue. I really love how it looks and functions. You can quickly detach the arm and GPS from the base, allowing you to keep a lower profile when parked in public places.

If you are unhappy with the windshield mount and you don’t mind having a permanent sticker going on your dash, I would definitely recommend this product.

3 Stars This is a permanent mount!
I had to buy a new NUVI mount as my original one broke after 6 months of infrequent use. The description of this mount made me think it was removable, but turns out you have to stick an adhesive on your dash. The package comes with two adhesives (one permanent, the other “removable”)but the instructions don’t specify which is which, so if you make the 50/50 mistake of putting the permanent adhesive on, you’ll have a difficult time removing it. I returned the product to Amazon.

2 Stars Garmin NUVI mount
This package is not applicable to the Nuvi 660 unit.

The ball mount & sticky pads are o.k. but the interface connector is not compatible with the Nuvi 660. The interface does not match the 660 mounting features and the power connector doesn’t match the cable that is shipped with the 660.

The concept of being able to easily move the unit from one vehicle to the next is not as convenient as you would expect.

2 Stars What can you say? It’s a power adapter, gotta have it, and they know it!
Works fine with my Vista HCx, just way overpriced!

But, it allows the use of the GPS in the car without using your batteries, and is great for turning up the brightness, as others have noted.

Garmin really does need to think some things through however. Both their AC and DC adapters are just that, adapters. The Vista HCx GPS I use accepts rechargeable batteries, but neither of their adapters are designed to charge batteries, but only to supply voltage to operate?! Kind of short-sighted on their part.

Good product, but I’m deducting points for price, and being unable to function as a charger.

I used this item for the first time this last weekend. It was nice feeling that I was not using the batteries up before even getting to our activity center. No need to carry a bunch of batteries along. Good to go.

The trouble with Garmin it charges way to much for all of its add ons. If you were buying this for a cheap radio you could buy it in the dollar store, but because of the interface you have to buy from them.

Works as advertised on my 60Cx, I was wondering after reading a review that it didn’t, it does. Using on a motorcycle so I wouldn’t go for the USB power because it seems like it will create a weatherproof seal whereas the USB won’t. 5 Stars If you carry your Nuvi around with you, you will want this battery
I bought this battery to go with my Nuvi 500. I already own a Nuvi 750 but this battery is one of the reasons that I bought the 500. Unlike most other Nuvi’s (and most other automotive GPS receivers) the 500 and the 550 have a user interchangeable battery (the 880 does as well). If you use your GPS primarily in your car this is not a big deal. However, my favorite thing about the Nuvi’s is that I can carry them in my pocket as I explore a new city or ever a park or wildlife area. I even have a bicycle mount for it. My 750 only gave me about 3 hours of use before it had to be recharged. Although I am not getting the “up to 8 hours” of power that the manufacturer suggests for the 500 I am getting a solid 5 hours of use with the backlight set at 50%. If I still want more, that’s where this battery comes in. A quick switch and I have another 5 hours of GPS guidance. Thank you Garmin for adding this feature to your latest GPS units!

I ordered this product with the FR305 and the speed cadence sensor : it is just simply working fine. I gave only 4 stars because the strap is too short to wrap around a ski/snowboard suit. So I dismounted the whole thing, and sewed the clip to a longer strap I had kept from an old backpack. The result is not looking professional made, but it works, and now I know my snowboard speed is around 55 km/h in the first tests (after Sport tracks corrections : 62 became 55!)

Then I ordered another one so I shall have one long and one short!

5 Stars Forerunner 305 Bike and Wrist Quick Release Strap
Five Stars are well earned for a well designed product. The delivery was easily within two days. The wrist strap is much better than the original plastic strap that came with my Forerunner 305. The strap removal tool makes the removal of the original strap a breeze. (It can also be used for any other watch band removals) The Forerunner 305 is then easily installed and removed from the quick release wrist strap. The Bike Strap is even easier and requires no tools. Works great and is very secure on the bike. Instructions included were perfect and accurate.

The Quick Release Kit (QRK) is a must have for cyclist, triathletes and runners using the Garmin 305/205 system. The QRK snaps connects to the bar mounted or wristband cradle in seconds. The QRK is great for triathletes! The QRKs Snap-on, Snap-off connector WILL save you significant time and headache in triathlon transition. Of note, I found the QRK design and material more comfortable and adjustable on the fly than the stock rubber wrist band. EASY install.

I purchased this mostly for the mount to the GPS unit but for the price you get the charger and 2 mounts for basicly the same price as just the mount

4 Stars Makes Life Easier
This OEM Prodect works perfectly with my Nuvi. I have had no problems so far, although I have not used the suction cup mount (just the charger and the black piece that hooks up the garmin to my dashboard garmin stand).

The only reason it lost a star is because I known from previous experience that the charger is susceptible to breaking, I’ve had one fall apart for no apparent reason before.

5 Stars an extra for my second car
I bought this for another car I have so I don’t have to keep taking the entire thing out and puting it in the other car. It works great except once in a while the suction comes undone because of extreme heat or cold. If you have heat or a/c on, it stays on fine. I have a Garmin nuvi 360 and I just move it from one car to the other. Very simple.

4 Stars Good GPSr Mount
This is a great mount. It is sturdy and stable when it is locked down.

This mount does however suffer from the same issues that other suction cup mounts suffer from. When the temperature changes drastically it will fall off.

One way to help guard against this is to closely follow the mounting instructions. You really should clean the surface with water and let it dry before securing the mount.

I enjoy this item, but it should have a slider slot that you can make it longer or shorter. Some car windows are sloped different then others. It just fits, but the antenna is right against the windshield, its not a bad thing it holds it in place but its hard to read the screen sometimes.

The item was received in good condition. It does work as reviewed by others here. It adheres very well to the windshield. I agree with the reviewer who wished it had sideways rotation. That could be a benefit when using only reflected light with the GPSMAP 60CSx.

I would like to see the technical specs include the construction material for these products as RAM MOUNT does for theirs. That would help in the decision making process.
