IMHO if you put the money into a portable GPS, then spend a bit for a case. This case WILL fit the Magellan Maestro 3140 and it’s easy to get in/out.
I like the closing of the case as it snaps tightly closed each and every time! The sides are an elastic.

5 Stars Great Case – Be Careful With the Magnet!
This is a quality case and it fits my Magellan 2200t perfectly. Be very careful where you put the case, or with what you put on top of it. The magnet in the latch is powerful and has the potential to erase credit and ATM cards. I demagnetized a hotel room key card when I placed the key against the case while walking to my room.
5 Stars Great Pouch for the Magellan Crossover
The leather pouch is by far the best I’ve seen specifically for the Magellan Crossover. The only problem is that the grips on the magellan crossover has to be removed so that the Crossover can fit. This makes the pouch less for the crossover outdoor use and more for just storage within your car or boat.
