User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Another solid performing StreetPilot GPS Unit
This is my third Garmin StreetPilot purchased for my family. The c580 is basically just a slightly upgraded version of the c550 that we purchased last year. While there are some imperfections in the directions in and around complex roadways – where new meet old – I would definitely purchase another. They are so easy to use that you take it out of the box and run it. The touch screen directions are user friendly, the spoken street names are easy to understand and follow.

The only negative that I have is that there is not a charging device that can be used in the house to pre-charge the batteries. The only way that you can charge this unit is in the car – that re-charger is provided. But it still is an inconvenience when moving it between cars.

5 Stars Excellent GPS
GPS is a little bulkier than the Nuvis but the features are great. The Bletooth connection for the cell phone is very clear and is very useful (have to be hands free in DC). The MSN network connection is good for weather updates and the unit is very easy to use.

Good product but MSN is not available in most areas. Went crazy when stopping in route for gas or food, by trying to get you back on track. Also lacked information in certain areas where new interstate have been completed.

5 Stars excellent GPS unit
Unless you need to put your GPS in your pocket, BUY A STREETPILOT. Dollar for dollar they are by far superior to their Nuvi counterparts. You can get about $900 worth of GPS features for $150 or less. This model is very similar to the C550, but replaces FM traffic with MSN Direct. The only drawback to the StreetPilot series is its size. The overall size is good, they are just thicker (like tube TV versus LCD) but like I said, unless you need to be able to put the unit in your pocket, they are great. Its too bad Garmin has discontinued the line, but thats also why they’re such a low price.

I bought this GPS as a gift. So I personaly have not operated the

GPS but instructions are easy to follow. The only downfall is not

with the product. I never received a packing list from shipper I

hope the product does not have any mal fuctions that need to taken

of under warranty.
